A photo exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan opened in Riga

At Riga Congress Center hosted the opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled "Uzbekistan - the destination on the Silk Road." of Uzbek photographer, member of the Academy of Arts in our country Khusniddin Ato.

Guests of the event were representatives of political, business, cultural and humanitarian circles and mass media of Latvia, as well as students from Uzbekistan studying in this country, according to news agency "Dunyo."

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Husniddin Ato said that in his work he seeks to "demonstrate the ancient history, rich culture, the development of art, hospitable people and life of Uzbekistan."
From the words of the head of the Department of Education, the Riga City Council Culture and Sports Baiba Smite this exhibition is a contribution to the strengthening of intercultural relations and mutual understanding between the two friendly nations.

Presented at the exhibition exposition, more than 60 photo illustrations allow visitors to get acquainted not only with the unique culture and traditions of the Uzbekistan's people, but also the tourism potential of our country.
