Great Wall of China won't be restore completely

Beijing allocated 470 million yuan ($ 67 million) to rebuild the Great Wall of China in 19 years.

96 projects for the repair of collapsing areas were implemented with this money. But the most visited - the Beijing site - was restored only by 7 percent (37.5 km). Chinese authorities do not plan to completely reconstruct the wall, RIA News writes.

“We need to protect the original appearance of large cultural sites. We always try to adhere to the principle of the need for least intervention,” said Yu Ping, a former deputy head of the Beijing Cultural Heritage Office.
