Qantas Airways Ltd. will start test flights lasting 20 hours

The first flights will be carried out with several subjects on board to check their health status before official flights begin.

On Thursday, Qantas said it would launch the longest direct flights in the world as early as October. Crew members and 40 passengers, most of whom are company employees, will be under constant medical supervision during the entire flight.

However, such a flight will be much less comfortable than expected, according to Bloomberg.

If successful, Qantas Airways will already have 20-hour flights in 2022. CEO Alan Joyce describes these services as the last frontier of aviation.
Among the pressing issues facing the airline are the choice of the aircraft itself, which is capable of overcoming such long distances without refueling.
