V International Jazz Festival kicked off in Uzbekistan

International Jazz Festival kicked off in Uzbekistan yesterday, on April 15  to last until the end of April. Concerts and workshops are scheduled to take place in Bukhara, Samarkand and Kokand as well as Tashkent.

The festival will host about 20 concerts of jazz performers from abroad and Uzbekistan. The first was  the joint concert of Barna Peli (Hungary) and the jazz orchestra named after B. Zakirov (Uzbekistan), at the Turkiston Palace of Arts.

Most of the participants are renowned musicians from around the world coming to Uzbekistan not only to show their skills and new art trends, but also to establish contacts with colleagues. Among the participants of this year such celebrities as Barna Peli (Hungary), Abs (Czech Republic), Ivan Gunawan (Indonesia) and many others.
